Similarly, about 89 percent of COVID-19 patients who have been admitted in hospitals have not received their jabs while 92 percent of those who received intensive care have not been inoculated, health officials said during the briefing. The most dominant coronavirus variant in the UAE is the Beta strain with almost 40 percent of all cases, followed by Delta with over a third and Alpha with over a tenth of the country’s caseload.
