BRASILIA, July 29 (Reuters) - Brazil’s central government reported a primary budget deficit of 73.6 billion reais ($14.5 billion) in June, the Treasury said on Thursday, more than the 63.4 billion reais deficit forecast in a Reuters poll of economists. The accumulated deficit excluding interest payments in the first half of the year was 53.7 billion reais, and the accumulated shortfall in the 12 months through June was 401 billion reais, worth 4.7% of gross domestic product, Treasury said. $1 = 5.07 reais Reporting by Jamie McGeever and Isabel Versiani Editing by Chris Reese Our Standards: The Thomson Reuters Trust Principles.
