Libyan Prime Minister Abdel Hamid al-Dbeibah has directed several ministers to integrate 11,000 members of the "Support Forces" in various state institutions. Dbeibah inspected the Tripoli Military District to identify its needs in his capacity as Minister of Defense, on his first visit to the district since he took office. He met several officials and discussed the follow-up and organizing committee of the "Support Forces" program to integrate its members in the states military, police, and civil institutions. According to a government statement, the committee briefed Dbeibah on the results of a survey of 11,000 people from the target groups across Libya. Dbeibah asked the ministers of interior, economy, labor, education, and youth to hold meetings between the relevant departments in their ministries and the committee to discuss the integration of the target groups in state institutions in line with their capabilities and desires. Dbeibah said on Wednesday that the opening of the coastal highway between east and west Libya is a step towards national unity. "The opening of the coastal road has contributed to more stability, alleviated the suffering of people, and will contribute to the country’s full unification," the PM said following a meeting with the 5 + 5 Joint Committee (JMC). On Wednesday, Dbeibah met with Italian Interior Minister Luciana Ghezzi, who began an official visit to Tripoli. Dbeibah stressed the need to activate the Italian role on migration. Ghezzi asserted the need for continuous communication with the Libyan Interior Ministry to discuss the matter.
