Students and staff can interact with the system by scanning a QR code Students are expected to return to school for the first semester of the new academic year by the end of August JEDDAH: Leaders of schools and educational institutions in Saudi Arabia can now track and view data — including health, vaccination and infection status — for students and staff members through the Tawakkalna app. The “we are learning with caution” section shows details such as the number of students and staff to have come into contact with infected individuals, the number of infected people, and the number of those immunized. Each student and staff member’s details are also displayed in the portal: ID number, name, category, and health status. A search option for specific ID numbers is also available via the search icon. Senior staff can also log in and out of their institution’s profile — through Tawakkalna — by scanning the code for it or manually entering data. Students and staff can interact with the system by scanning a QR code. Students are expected to return to school for the first semester of the new academic year by the end of August. Only fully jabbed students at the intermediate and secondary levels can physically return to school, the Saudi Ministry of Education has said, while primary students will continue their education online, as will those who are at an intermediate level but younger than 12 years old.
