TAIPEI, Aug 13 (Reuters) - Taiwan’s economy is expected to grow 5.88% in 2021, the statistics agency said on Friday, upgrading a previous forecast of 5.46% predicted in June on the back of strong exports, adding it saw growth at a more modest 3.69% in 2022. Growth in the second quarter was revised slightly lower to 7.43% year-on-year from a preliminary 7.47%, the Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics said. The statistics office also revised up the export growth forecast for 2021 to 28.15% from a previous 20.40%, and said it saw 2022’s exports growing 5.22% year-on-year.
