Saudi Arabia said on Wednesday that it was carefully following developments taking place in Afghanistan, and expressed hope that the situation will stabilize soon. Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Wasel said that Saudi Arabia hopes that the Taliban movement and all Afghan parties will work to preserve security, stability, lives and property. Addressing the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) urgent session, he stressed Saudi Arabia"s support for the brotherly Afghan people and the choices they make without interference from any side.
