DUBAI: Lebanese rock band Mashrou’ Leila and Iraqi-Canadian rapper Narcy are set to be featured in famed US cellist Yo-Yo Ma’s upcoming track “Notes for the Future,” the musician announced this week. Mashrou’ Leila, which includes lead singer Hamed Sinno, multi-instrumentalist Firas Abou Fakher, violinist Haig Parpazian and drummer Carl Gerges, previously teamed with Narcy on a track called “SpaceTime” in 2018. Narcy, famous for his songs “Animal” and “Makoo,” wrote on Instagram: “So honored to be alongside these legends and to hear @hamed.sinno"s voice beside mine again.” For his new album, Yo-Yo Ma has collaborated with International artists like Beninese singer Angelique Kidjo, Mexican music sensation Lila Downs and Spanish jazz singer and trumpeter Andrea Motis.
