Review of Nissan Nissan Review of Nissan Nissan is currently a bit of an early adopter; this update brings a much better-looking, well-manned, and slightly faster version of the Leaf to my review system. To my knowledge, this new Nissan is not based on the current Leaf or Leaf LEAF versions of the Leaf and Leaf SE, but rather a very similar car that has been upgraded to the 2.0-liter V9 engine that allows for full power generation from an 8-speed automatic transmission. Like the original Nissan LEAF, the two versions of the Leaf are still quite similar in terms of engine performance. New in this version is an engine that is designed to produce more horsepower than the 2.0-liter, but with a lesser amount of torque and higher horsepower at 60 to 70 mph, than the 2.0-liter 2.8-liter which used to be a popular model with 1.5 to 2.0-liter and 2.3 to 3.0-liter turbocharged engines.
