The new feature will reportedly expand the visual media embedded in tweets to fill the whole width of the screen when being viewed on a mobile device. Similar features already exist on other social media platforms, such as Instagram. Under the current format, Twitter images are indented next to a user"s profile photo and take up much less screen space. The images are magnified only after a user clicks on them. Other features include a ‘tip jar’ for supporting content creators, ‘super follows’ for subscriber-only content, and testing upvote and downvote buttons similar to what is already featured on Reddit. Twitter has also been working on increasing online safety for its users. The social media giant launched a privacy setting that allows users to temporarily block accounts for up to seven days for using harmful language or sending uninvited replies.
