Saudi Arabia pledges $5 million to provide COVID-19 vaccines for developing OIC members

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has pledged 20 million Saudi riyals ($5.3 million) to provide coronavirus vaccines for developing member states in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in contribution for global efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The announcement made Monday by the OIC said the Kingdom’s donation would be channeled through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center. The pledge aims to help 22 developing countries of the bloc, the statement said.
