Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman made on Monday a phone call with Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq of Oman during which the King sought reassurance about the situation in the Sultanate after it was hit by the Tropical Cyclone Shaheen that resulted in a number casualties and caused damages. During the phone conversation, King Salman offered condolences to the Sultan, as well as to the families of the deceased and the people of Oman, while wishing a speedy recovery to the injured. The Monarch emphasized that the Kingdom would stand by the Sultanate in its efforts to confront the repercussions of Shaheen. For his part Sultan Haitham thanked and appreciated the King for his concern for Oman and its people. Earlier, King Salman sent a cable to Sultan Haitham, offering condolences over the death of a number of people in Cyclone Shaheen. Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman also sent a similar cable of condolences to the Sultan. — SG/SPA
