Tunisia’s Prime Minister Najla Bouden affirmed that the existing implications and repercussions of environmental challenges have exceeded the economic and social dimensions and exacerbated the COVID-19 pandemic in a number of countries, particularly the developing and least developed countries. This came during her speech delivered at the Middle East Green Initiative Summit, inaugurated here Monday by Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman. In her speech, she disclosed that responding and working on energy sustainability requires everyone to assume responsibilities in order to accelerate the pace of this recovery in order to ensure a rapid transition and a green economy. She indicated that Tunisia calls for the need to combine and mobilize efforts to promote scientific research and innovation and develop sustainable energy solutions to set the path of transformation towards a green economy. — SPA
