Egypt to start exporting liquefied gas to Lebanon by the end of this year

CAIRO: Egyptian Petroleum Minister, Tarek El Molla, said he expects Egypt to start exporting liquified gas to Lebanon by the end of this year, during an interview with CNBC Arabia. El-Molla said Egypt exports about 1.8 billion cubic feet of gas per day, adding that the production of gas currently ranges between 7 and 7.2 billion cubic feet per day. The minister also added that he expects the sector to attract investments of about $6.5 billion this year, after it decreased to about $5.5 billion last year.
