Saudi talent foundation Mawhiba signs training contract with Coursera

Coursera was represented by Anthony Tattersall, the company"s president in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region RIYADH: King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and Coursera have signed a contract to cooperate in training and qualifying more than 10,000 students in the scientific and technical fields, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The agreement aims to provide licenses for specialist educational courses through Coursera, contribute to the development of student abilities, and enrich educational offerings by expanding student knowledge and expertise in scientific issues that affect their lives and their communities. It also includes training teachers and granting them certificates to teach online, converting Mawhiba’s books in science, technology, engineering and mathematics to be taught in online curricula and virtual laboratories, and granting professional certificates to the foundation’s students for entry-level jobs. The foundation was represented at the signing ceremony by Dr. Basil Al-Sadhan, the body’s deputy secretary general. Coursera was represented by Anthony Tattersall, the company"s president in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
