LONDON, Nov 10 (Reuters) - The European Union will extend permission for securities clearing houses in Britain to continue serving customers in the bloc after June next year, the EU’s financial services chief said on Wednesday. Mairead McGuinness said more time is needed to build up clearing capacity in the EU. “That is why I will propose an extension of the equivalence decision for UK central counterparties in early 2022,” McGuiness said in a statement.
