A man has been killed and a woman in her 80s is in a critical condition in hospital after they were stabbed in a street in Brentford. The Metropolitan police said the man, believed to be in his 20s, and the woman, were stabbed at about 8pm on Friday in Albany Parade in Brentford. The force said the woman was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition. A spokesman said the man was pronounced dead at the scene and inquiries are under way to establish his identity, and as such his family has not yet been informed. The spokesman added: “Inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances. At this stage, there is nothing to suggest that the incident is linked to terrorism. “There has been no arrest.” Anyone with any information has been asked to call 101 quoting the reference number 6423/12nov.
