Health certificate will become mandatory for delivery workers. The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) has obligated the electronic delivery application workers, who are registered with the commission, to issue a health certificate by conducting delivery workers" medical examination. According to Akhbaar42, Starting from Nov. 30, no request will be taken from delivery workers if they have not obtained the health certificate, or did not pass the medical examination. The delivery applications have obliged their workers to go to the approved centers by the Ministry of Health to conduct the examination and issue the permit, and warned that negligence in issuing the permit exposes the owner of the facility to closure. The examination includes: Clinical examination such as: blood pressure, skin, neurological and venereal disease, chest x-ray for Pulmonary Tuberculosis (TB), vision and hearing disease. Laboratory tests such as: Hemoglobin A1C test, Hepatitis B and C HBV-HCV test, in addition to HIV test. It is noteworthy that the CITC earlier announced that delivery applications witnessed an increase in the average value of the monthly requests, reaching one billion riyals in the first quarter of 2021. It witnessed a growth rate of 45%, compared to the first quarter of 2020, while average number of the monthly requests increased by 33% to reach 2.9 million requests.
