This expansion will add to the 250,000 already installed in homes and workplaces, and follows on from the government proposal to ban the sale of new gasoline and diesel cars from 2030. The government also announced a new three-year program of 150 million pounds ($201.4 million) of loans to small businesses for innovation, part of which will support environmental technologies. “We are investing in new projects to turn wind power into hydrogen,” Johnson will say in a speech to the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) on 22 Nov., according to excerpts released by his office. The government will push legislation for the EV charging network through Parliament in 2021, Bloomberg said.
