Who’s Who: Ibrahim Mohammed Nazer, head of the Federation of Saudi Chambers’ national mining committee

Ibrahim Mohammed Nazer has been head of the Federation of Saudi Chambers’ national mining committee since November 2020. He is responsible for drawing up the committee’s strategy and protecting the interests of the mining sector’s investors to achieve national strategic objectives, growth goals and sustainability. The mining industry is a major pillar of the Kingdom’s economy, according to the Vision 2030 initiative. Currently, Nazer is the general manager and owner of Tamaya Mining Co. and has been president of  the Tamaya Center for Environmental, Administrative, and public Financial Consultations since 2006. He is a member of the Asbar Forum and sits on its supervisory board, as well as being a member of the Saudi Management Association, Awasser Charitable Association, and the National Association of Retired Persons. He is also a member of the Social Mishwarah Association in Jeddah. He holds a master’s degree in administrative sciences from Boston University, a bachelor’s in military science from King Faisal Air Academy, and a bachelor’s in public administration from King Abdulaziz University. He also obtained a diploma in technical sciences from the Institute of Air Force Technical Studies in the field of fighter aircraft control. He writes articles for Earth magazine, issued by the Saudi Society for Geosciences, on the subject of mining in the Kingdom. He also writes about planning and management in the Journal of Scientific Management and the Journal of Management Horizon issued by the Saudi Management Association. He has done several interviews on Al Ekhbariya channel about national economic affairs and national consulting firms.
