JEDDAH: The US Consulate General in Dhahran will open a joint international exhibition on Monday showcasing the work of US and Saudi photographers. The event will be held in cooperation with the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts in Al-Ahsa. The showcased work is featured in the society’s Al-Ahsa branch until Dec. 10. It follows successful exhibitions in Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam. Works includes 46 photos from US and Saudi artists depicting iconic locations and cultural landmarks in both countries, including landscapes, archaeological and historical sites, and civil monuments. Photographs of well-known landmarks are on display, including the legendary Chicago Theater, San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge and the red sands of the Arizona desert. The exhibition is part of US efforts to promote art and cultural exchange with the Kingdom. The relationship between the two countries spans more than 70 years.
