HOUSTON, Dec 8 (Reuters) - Valero Energy Corp (VLO.N) on Wednesday was increasing production on the restarting, gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracker (FCC) at its 195,000-barrel-per-day (bpd) McKee refinery in Sunray, Texas, sources familiar with plant operations said. The 55,000-bpd FCC and other units were knocked out of production following a partial power outage on Sunday, the sources said. A Valero spokesperson did not reply to a request for comment. In addition to the FCC, a 34,000-bpd gasoline hydrotreater, 15,000-bpd naphtha hydrotreater and two sulfur recovery units were also restarting on Wednesday, the sources said. The power outage was caused by high winds around the Texas Panhandle refinery, according to a notice the company filed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
