As many as 104 fillies participated in five sections of the two categories of Class B of the International Championship for Purebred Arabian Horses Festival on its first day at the International Equestrian Resort here on Wednesday. Around 350 purebred Arabian breed horses from different countries are expected to participate in the championship with total prize money valued at over SR2 million. The championship started on the third day of the second edition of the Saudi Arabian Horses Festival 2022, which kicked off on Monday. The slogan of the 8-day festival is “Ubayyah in Diriyah.” A large number of horse lovers and owners were present to watch Wednesday’s Class B Championship for Purebred Arabian Horses, which is being held under the supervision of the King Abdulaziz Center for Purebred Arabian Horses. The first category was for fillies of one year old under sections A, B, and C and the second category was for fillies that are two years old under sections A and B. Winners: Fillies (one year old): A: First position: Filly HD Turaf from stud farm of Al-Hadad; second: Najd Farzan from Farzan Arabian Horse stud farm; third: Yamama Al-Khalid from the farm of Al-Khalid. B: First: Mudhila Al-Maoud from the stud farm of Al-Maoud; second: Irada Adba from the stud farm of Adba; third: Alexandra Al-Nassar from Al-Nassar stud farm for purebred Arabian horses. C: First: Dana Al-Yameen from Al-Yameen stud farm; second: Jawhara Eraq Al-Dhahab from Eraq Al-Dhahab stud farm for purebred Arabian horses; third: Masarrat Al-Khalid from Al-Khalid farm. Fillies (two-year-old): A: First: HS Tala from the stud farm of Al-Howas for purebred Arabian horses; second: H Bellerina H from Faisal Youssef stable; third: Tara Almaoud from the Alain stud farm. B: First: Candles Care from the stud farm of Alnakhish; second: Ward Al-Maud from the stud farm of Diriyah for purebred Arabian horses; third: Azara Awas from the stud farm of Al-Ghariqah.
