King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) announced Saturday at a press conference at The Hilton in Jeddah the results of the first edition of the “Gifted Arabs” initiative, which aims to spread the culture of talent and support the gifted in the Arab world. The press conference was attended by Mawhiba Secretary-General of Dr. Saud Al-Mathami, and the Director-General of the Arab Organization for Education, Culture, and Science (ALECSO) Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, and the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Organization Hani Al-Moqbel. Dr. Al-Mathami extended appreciation to Prince Badr Bin Abdullah Bin Farhan, chairman of the Saudi National Committee for Education, Culture, and Science, and the Minister of Culture, for sponsoring and supporting the "Gifted Arabs" initiative. He thanked all the efforts exerted to support initiatives and partnerships with national authorities in the Education, Culture and Science sectors, and with regional and international organizations, to cultivate more emerging Arab talents, which will contribute to achieving sustainable development 2030 to raise competencies and potentials in the Arab world. He also thanked the ALECSO Executive Council, the Member States, and the Ministers of Education in the participating countries for their support of the initiative and their keenness to ensure its success, raising the level of its impact, contributing to achieving its goals and aspirations, and serving the Arab citizens. — SPA
