As part of Formula E’s sustainability strategy and commitment to having positive impacts on host cities, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship welcomed children with autism to the Diriyah track ahead of the Season 8 opening race on Friday. The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship announced a strategic partnership with the Charitable Society of Autism Families (SAF) in Season 6, who are a non-profit charitable organization providing professional support as well as funding for projects and activities. Their aim is to bring happiness and boost the mental and physical wellbeing of children with autism and their families, with Formula E providing the perfect backdrop to raise awareness of the developmental disorder and an enjoyable experience for the children. Organized in partnership with CBX and the Charitable Society of Autism Families (SAF), children from the charity and their families were provided with some dedicated experiences in the Allianz E-Village, a behind the scenes pit lane walk and meet and greet with the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team as well as Formula E goody bags, lunch and tickets to enjoy the opening race. Families were able to take in the atmosphere of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship"s only night race, and experience the thrill and anticipation of the garages as race time approached. Each season, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is strongly committed to having positive impacts in host cities through year-long community engagement activities and charity partnerships that meet the needs and expectations of local communities and target the most impacted groups to help spread their global sustainability message. — SG
