RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s main index TASI ended the previous trading session higher as investors braced for more earnings announcements and sentiment heightened. TASI added 0.2 percent to reach 12,293 points, and the parallel market ended flat at 25,558 points. In line with the Saudi index, Abu Dhabi’s FTSE ADX general index, the Qatar index QSI, Kuwait’s BKP and Bahrain’s BAX were all up between 0.2 and 0.6 percent. Dubai’s index DFMGI dropped 1 percent, followed by Oman’s MSX30, down 0.1 percent. Elsewhere in the Middle East, the Egyptian index EGX30 registered gains of 1 percent. In energy trading, Brent crude reached $89.4 per barrel, and US benchmark WTI crude oil hit $88.5 per barrel as of 9:03 a.m. Saudi time.
