RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s main index, TASI, opened slightly higher on Tuesday, as positive market cues lifted investor sentiment. As of 10:23 a.m. Saudi time, TASI edged 0.09 percent higher at 12,260 points, while NomuC edged 0.10 percent lower at 25,256 points. Saudi Arabia"s largest valued bank, Al Rajhi gained 0.40 percent, while Banque Saudi Fransi shed 0.19 percent despite reporting a 123 percent profit increase during 2021. Saudi Automotive Services Co., SASCO led today"s gainers with 5.57 percent gain. Franchise retailer Fawaz Abdulaziz Alhokair Co. gained 2.73 percent after reporting profits of SR82.7 million ($22 million) for the nine months ending Dec. 31. Sadr Logistics Co. fell 0.38 percent upon the announcement of its CEO"s resignation. Arabian Pipes Co. gained 3.28 percent, while Oil giant Aramco edged 0.54 percent higher. In energy trading, Brent crude reached $92.01 per barrel, and US benchmark WTI traded at $90.72 per barrel as of 10:23 a.m. Saudi time.
