Highlights of remarks of Kings and Crown Prince on the Kingdom’s foundation

– A book on Saudi Arabia’s Founding Day contains the remarks of all the seven Saudi Kings, from King Abdul Aziz, the founder of modern Saudi Arabia, to King Salman in addition to that of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman that highlight the foundation of their great nation. The book was prepared by the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) on the occasion of the celebration of the Founding Day that falls on Feb. 22. In their words, the Monarchs highlighted the Saudi people’s depth of religious faith, adherence to the Holy Qur’an and the Prophet’s Sunnah, pride in their glorious heritage, and their conviction and dedication in serving their country and religion. The following is the summary of the words of the Kings and the Crown Prince: King Abdul Aziz: I have become the King of this country, which is under the authority of God and within the unifying Arab spirit. Every person among my people is a soldier and a policeman, and I walk with them as one individual. I do not give preference to myself than over them and I do rule them in a way that is good for them as stated in the Book of God and the Sunnah of His Messenger. King Saud: We took over the rule of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We are proud of its glorious heritage that we had inherited from our great leaders. The Kingdom was founded on piety and obedience to God; its constitution is the Holy Qur’an; and its pillar is the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). We are proceeding upon its foundations.” King Faisal: The faith of Saudi people is in God, and their cohesion and devotion is in serving their country. Their struggle for its independence and freedom represents the way that has brought this people and this noble country to gain what it is now. King Khalid: King Abdul Aziz was able to establish this great entity in a way restoring security to the country with such standards that are cherished by others to realize, besides achieving the best levels of comfortable and stable human life for his people, until our country became a typical proverbial example of pride, dignity, progress and prosperity. King Fahd: More than two and a half centuries ago, the first Saudi state was established on the fundamentals of Islam, as well as on a clear way of life in politics, governance, propagation and meeting. King Abdullah: Our country has witnessed, since its establishment by the unifier King Abdul Aziz, a comprehensive civilized renaissance, targeting the Saudi human in all walks of his living, work, security, health and education. King Salman: The establishment of the Saudi State has been instrumental in restoring stability in this region based on the approach of the first Islamic state, as well as in uniting most of its parts into one state, based on the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah and not on any regional or tribal basis for a period of more than 270 years. Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman: We have a very important historical depth that goes deep and converges with many civilizations. Many consider the history of the Arabian Peninsula as a very short one but on the contrary, we are a very ancient nation.
