Palestinian president congratulates Saudi leadership on the occasion of Founding Day

— Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman on the occasion of his country"s Founding Day. In a cable sent to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the president said, "As you celebrate the Founding Day, we are pleased to express to you, in in my own name, and on behalf of the State of Palestine, its people, to your government and to your brotherly people, the most heartfelt congratulations and blessings, asking Allah the Almighty for you abundant health and long life, and for your country and people, further progress and prosperity". He added, "We seize this important national occasion, which represents the history, culture, values and heroism of the Saudi society, to reiterate our keenness to continue working with you to enhance the strong historical brotherly relations that unite our two peoples and two brotherly countries". The Palestine President also congratulated Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense, on the occasion of the Founding Day. In a cable sent to the Crown Prince, the president reiterated his pride in the historic bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia, and his keenness to strengthen them for the good of the two brotherly countries and peoples. In Islamabad, Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Crown Prince on the occasion of the Founding Day. On this occasion, the Prime Minister wished the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia further progress and prosperity. In Madrid, Regional Director of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for the Middle East Basmah Bint Abdulaziz Al-Mayman said that the anniversary of the Founding Day is an opportunity to remember the glories of the Saudi State and the leadership’s achievements during more than three centuries until our prosperous era under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Crown Prince. She added that this historic day is an opportunity to remember the founder of the first Saudi State Imam Muhammad Bin Saud, and for generations to learn and follow the example of those who preceded them from the previous imams until the era of King Abdul Aziz Al Saud, who established the third Saudi State and unified it under the name of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She said that the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman witnessed unprecedented economic, social and political development. In Rabat, the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) has congratulated the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the Founding Day. The organization in a statement issued Tuesday said: “Choosing the ‘the day we started’ motto to highlight the date of the founding shows the historical, civil and cultural depth of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since its foundation three centuries ago.” ICESCO also commended the deep essential meaning of pride carried by the icon of the Founding Day, which highlights the values of culture and prestige of the Saudi State and its pride in its identity and history, till reaching the prosperous present, stability and security witnessed by Saudi Arabia and its endeavors for a bright future under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Crown Prince. — SPA
