RIYADH: The UK has announced that it is banning Russian aviation and space-related exports. The ban includes technology, components, insurance, and reinsurance products, Bloomberg reported, citing the Foreign Office. The UK will also forbid Russian aircrafts from landing or overflying Britain. These measures come just days after the European country’s government announced that it plans to phase out Russian crude oil and other oil related products by the end of 2022. The steps are alongside existing measures such as the blocking of Russian ships from UK ports, as well as bank sanctions and sanctions on over 12 prominent Russians.
