RIYADH: The US and the UK have agreed to advance bilateral trade efforts between both countries, The Wall Street Journal reported. Talks between both counties will address a range of issues, including easing supply chain congestion, decarbonizing their economies, promoting digital trade, supporting domestic workforces, and labor rights, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing officials from both countries. The discussions are set to take place between March 21 and 22, with another session scheduled for later in the spring. US Trade Representative, Katherine Tai, and UK Secretary of State for International Trade, Anne-Marie Trevelyan, will be leading the sessions. The talks come as the US attempts to strengthen economic ties with nations amid the Russia-Ukraine war. The UK is the US’s largest services trading partner with total bilateral services trade valued at $115 billion in 2020. Combined imports and exports between the two nations amounted to $118 billion in 2021.
