Arab Parliament Speaker Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Assoumi has commended Saudi Arabias announcement of $3 billion in financial aid to help the Yemeni economy. In a statement issued Thursday, Al-Assoumi appreciated the efforts of the Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates, their constructive initiatives and persistent endeavors in Yemen to reach a political solution. Such a solution ends the conflict and ensures regional peace and stability, especially in light of the positive outcomes of the Yemeni consultations held in Riyadh under the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States auspices, he said.
