DGA governor holds meetings with UN officials in New York

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Digital Government Authority (DGA) of Saudi Arabia Eng. Abdullah Bin Amer Al-Sawaha met Saturday at the United Nations headquarters in New York the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs Liu Zhenmin. He also met with the Director of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) Juwang Zhu. The meeting comes within the framework of Eng. Al-Sawaha’s tour to the United States with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations in the fields of digital economy, research, innovation, space, and best practices in the field of digital government. This is in addition to highlighting the global leadership achieved by the Kingdom in the field of digital transformation in digital government and building smart cities based on the directives of the Kingdom"s leadership and its ambitious Vision 2030 that adapts to the modern challenges of energy and climate to participate in efforts to build a sustainable future. The DGA chairman also praised the qualitative leaps the Kingdom is witnessing in various fields, especially the field of communications and information technology, and its impact on digital government services and quality of life. He also praised the efforts made to develop digital skills, preparing competencies in the communications and information technology sectors, research and innovation, and progress in the field of digital government services. — SPA
