The joint security committee between the Ministries of Interior of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates Monday held its sixth meeting at the headquarters of the UAE Ministry of Interior to enhance cooperation in all security fields between the two countries. The Saudi delegation was headed by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Dr. Hisham Al-Falih, while the UAE side was headed by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Maj. Gen.Khalifah Al-Khaili in the presence of several security officials from the two countries. The meeting discussed several subjects, projects and initiatives and the best practices in various security fields that were tackled by technical teams under the joint higher security committee. The discussions included developing the data and information system, electronic connection among operations rooms in the two ministries, the electronic connection for traffic fines, network connection, and predicting the security future between the two sides. On the sidelines of the meeting, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding regarding protecting exchanged data and information in joint security projects with the aim of enhancing cooperation through implementing joint projects and initiatives so that to guarantee the security of exchanged data and information. The memorandum stipulates enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the field of protecting exchanged data and information in joint security projects according to constraints and procedures stipulated in the bilateral network connection and the project of developing electronic connection for traffic fines. — SPA
