RIYADH: Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum has ordered the restructuring of the Dubai municipality and land department that will help create economic opportunities worth 10 billion dirhams ($2.7 billion) and boost performance of both entities, Meed reported on Wednesday. The measure reportedly aims to boost partnership between the municipality and the private sector. In addition to this, operating costs of the municipality are expected to drop by 10 percent while the quality of services is anticipated to boost by 20 percent. As for the restructuring in the land department, it aims to increase operational efficiency in the city by at least 20 percent.
