Since the launch of Vision 2030 in 2016, Saudi Arabia has taken big steps to scale up environmental protection. Aligning national strategies with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has begun in the Kingdom. The Water Strategy and the Environment Strategy, for example, were released by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture (MEWA) and aligned with the SDGs, and included adequate social, economic, and environmental dimensions. Saudi Arabia issued a Royal Order to incorporate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into environmental education curricula. With the help of public and private stakeholders, the Ministry of Education is leading the charge in this regard. As a result, additional strategies and plans are being developed in order to help national frameworks better address SDG coverage and environmental conservation at the same time. The technological industry has not been left behind. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia"s government has evolved due to rapid global technological advancements and government and institutional trends. There is digitization of all aspects of life that surpasses other modern countries. The Kingdom has currently cultural, scientific, and knowledge revolution. For instance, the construction of a green hydrogen plant will begin this month in Saudi Arabia as the country plans to export the fuel in four years. New energy and water director Peter Terium says the Kingdom will be selling carbon-free hydrogen from a $5 billion project in Neom by 2026, which will boost the economy. Site flattening in North Western Saudi Arabia has been completed, and US-based Air Products & Chemicals Inc. will soon begin construction. Due to its strong digital infrastructure, the Kingdom can accelerate the digital revolution. While dealing with public and private sector disruptions, the Kingdom has maintained business continuity, citizen needs, educational operations, and daily resident lives thanks to this structure. As a result, Saudi Arabia has been ranked among its top ten developed countries for its robust digital framework. These technological advancements are a boon to humanity for environmental conservation and preservation because of their availability. Vision 2030 drives a collective commitment to address current and future challenges innovatively and responsibly. G20 leaders endorsed the circular Carbon Economy (CCE) framework during Saudi Arabia"s presidency. The CCE system is a closed-loop system to combat climate change while promoting sustainable development and encouraging economic diversification. By emissions reduction and expanding the use of carbon capture, utilization, and storage, the international community can pursue economic sustainability and reconcile the information about energy and climate needs. For example, last week, Saudi Arabia launched cloud seeding in the big three regions to increase the country"s yearly rainfall. It is also designed to reduce desertification and increase green spaces, following the aims of the Kingdom"s Vision 2030 development plan. The Kingdom will also be planted with billions of seeding to change the country"s geography. The Kingdom"s energy mix is being diversified and optimized through a series of signature projects, including investments in solar and wind power and sustainable technologies. It is expected that renewable energy will account for as much as half of all energy consumption by 2030. In order to reduce emissions and eliminate the use of high-value fuels in electricity generation, one of the primary drivers toward sustainability is the implementation of renewable energy projects. Environmental protection is still a primary system in Saudi Arabia, regardless of how important these projects are to its economy. As part of the Kingdom"s 2030 vision, it aims to make a quantum leap in environmental protection and reduce the percentage of pollution in the environment. Hence, it is important to observe the environmental conservation practices even as we advance in the technological sector. Thus, as Saudis, we thank God for the great mission of the Kingdom"s leadership.
