RIYADH: UAE conglomerate Al-Futtaim is planning to invest from $700 million up to $1 billion in Egypt over the next three years, its CEO has said. This comes following the Integrated Industrial Partnership Initiative for sustainable economic development between the UAE, Egypt, and Jordan. The announcement, by Omar Abdullah Al-Futtaim, CEO of the Al-Futtaim group of companies, also aligns with Egypt’s keenness on enhancing the role of the private sector in investment, as highlighted by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly. Al-Futtaim group also unveiled plans to collaborate with several international firms to boost projects in the African country and attract further investments.
