Saudi Arabia inaugurated the "Makkah Route Initiative" in the Kingdom of Morocco at the King Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca. The inauguration of the initiative was attended by the Saudi Ambassador to Morocco, Abdullah Al-Ghurairi; Director General of Passports Lt. Gen. Suleiman Al-Yahya, who is also the Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the initiative; the Moroccan Minister of Religious Endowments and Islamic Affairs Ahmed Toufiq and a number of officials from the two countries. Morocco is the fifth and last station where the Makkah Route Initiative was launched this year. The initiative aims to receive the pilgrims and complete their procedures from their countries with ease, starting with issuing the visa electronically, taking fingerprints, and the completion of passport procedures at the airport of the country of departure after verifying the health requirements. This is in addition to baggage coding and sorting according to transportation and housing arrangements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Upon the arrival of pilgrims, they move directly to buses to take them to their places of residence in Makkah and Madinah, with designated paths, while the service authorities deliver their luggage to their places of residence. — SPA
