Alkhorayef UK visit promotes bilateral collaboration in industry and mining

Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef concluded his visit to the United Kingdom, in which he was accompanied by industry and mining leaders. The visit promoted bilateral collaboration in industry and mining. During his visit, the minister met with Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy the Rt Hon Kwasi Kwarteng and discussed with them ways to enhance and strengthen bilateral relations in industry and mining sectors. He also met with Under Secretary of State in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Le Rowley, Minister of State for Farming, Fisheries and Food, Victoria Prentis and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Agri-Innovation and Climate Adaptation, Jo Churchill MP. Alkhorayef visited the UK Parliament in the Palace of Westminster and the Natural History Museum in London accompanied by the UK Minister of Industry Le Rowley. Afterwards, he visited the London Metal Exchange. The minister stressed the Kingdom"s commitment and efforts to support innovation in the industry and mining sectors during his bilateral meetings with his government counterparts and a number of investors. He also underscored the importance of enhancing relations and communication with the Kingdom to identify high-quality opportunities in these sectors, renewing his invitation for investors to attend the annual Future Minerals Forum held in Riyadh. At a meeting with mining sector investors organized by the Ministry to explore investment opportunities, Alkhorayef delivered an opening speech, discussing the regulatory maturity the Kingdom has attained through its mining investment law and the reliable infrastructure that makes it a global destination for mining sector investors around the world. — SG
