The Council of Ministers has prevented contracting with the security guard companies whose employees’ wages are less than SR4,500. According to Al-Ekhbariyah channel, it confirmed that the Council of Ministers have directed and prevented the ministries and governmental and semi-governmental establishments from contracting with the civil security guards establishments whose wages are less than SR4,500 for their employees who work for them as security and safety workers and are registered with Social Insurance. It is worth noting that the Public Prosecution had announced earlier the requirements for work in private civil security guard companies and institutions. According to the Private Security Services Law, it is required that all workers in private civil security guard companies be Saudi nationals, in addition to that it is also stipulated that whoever occupies this position as a security and civil guard must be a Saudi national. It is also required to specify a list of the tasks required of the security guards and the conditions that must be met by them. The Public Prosecution warned that it would investigate those who violate this law, as it indicated 4 penalties, which are: 1 - Anyone violating the law for the first time will be warned. 2 - The violator will be punished with a fine not exceeding SR50,000, and if the violator repeats the violation, the fine will be doubled. 3 - The headquarters of the company or institution that violated the law will be closed temporarily for a period not exceeding one month. 4 - The license will be canceled for violators, but it will not be canceled except by a ruling issued by the competent court.
