MADINAH: Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani and his accompanying delegation arrived in Madinah on Tuesday to visit the Prophet’s Mosque. They were received by Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman and officials at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport. Saudi Arabia and Mauritania enjoy strong ties. Last month, the Mauritanian president received Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, during the latter’s official one-day visit to the capital, Nouakchott. Prince Faisal conveyed greetings from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and their wishes for further progress and prosperity for the Mauritanian government and people, the Kingdom’s foreign ministry said. During the reception, which was held at the presidential residence, they reviewed aspects of Saudi-Mauritanian relations, areas of bilateral cooperation, especially in the development and economic fields, and a number of regional issues.
