‘KSA Green Transition Journey’ exhibition highlights Kingdom’s green initiatives

Saudi Arabia launched “KSA Green Transition Journey” exhibition on Tuesday, on the sidelines of Jeddah Summit for Security and Development.Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman visited the exhibition on Friday with Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Minister of Media Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi. Prince Abdulaziz reviewed the latest preparations for the exhibition. The exhibition focuses on the Kingdom’s role in promoting green transformation within the Saudi Vision 2030, starting with preparing the necessary requirements for this and allocating sufficient investments, which is a strategy that includes all development policies of the Kingdom. The exhibition covering a total area of ​​about 700 square meters in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Jeddah includes seven sections, each of which focuses on highlighting one of the stages of transformation. The exhibition explains to visitors the "Green Saudi Arabia" and "Green Middle East" initiatives and the objectives of the two initiatives launched by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The exhibition illustrates the circular carbon economy approach, which the Kingdom is going to adopt, and highlights the role and importance of the Kingdom as a responsible and reliable global supplier of energy and its efforts in conducting studies and research in various fields of the energy industry to develop and enhance its capabilities. The exhibition sheds light on the most important features of the Kingdom"s orientations toward sustainability, including diversifying the resources of the national economy, developing strategic economic sectors, creating quality jobs, and working to attract and encourage national and foreign investments to 13 strategic economic sectors. These include 54 companies whose targeted volume of investments is about one trillion riyals by 2025.
