The leader reaffirmed Jordan’s full support for Palestinians obtaining their just and legitimate rights, pointing out that his country will continue to make all efforts to protect and care for Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem as part of the Hashemite guardianship of the sites. Developments in the region, including the upcoming Israeli elections and their impact on the chances of resuming peace negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis, were also discussed.
