Linah Alhabeeb has been human capital development director at the Diriyah Gate Development Authority since 2018. In that time she has introduced many company-wide strategies, including quarterly town halls and wellness programs, and now more than 86 percent of DGDA’s employees are embarked on individual development plans using a mix of talent mapping and upskilling. Alhabeeb also implemented the company’s human development strategy and leads on succession planning through schemes like the Diriyah Graduate Development Program and Leadership Development Program. Before joining DGDA, Alhabeeb worked for six months as the senior manager for talent management and organizational development at Baker & McKenzie in the Kingdom, Bahrain and Qatar. In that time she managed the development and implementation of company-wide performance programs, established key metrics to determine the competencies and skills required for each department, and conducted training to ensure all performance management systems were clearly understood. Alhabeeb had earlier spent three years as head of HR at Marsh & McLennan Companies in Riyadh, Alkhobar and Jeddah where she was involved in talent review meetings, succession planning and strategy, and related training programs. She was also an HR business partner with the company. In 2012, Alhabeeb worked as a senior recruitment specialist at PwC in Riyadh and spent time as organizational development coordinator at Saudi Oger Ltd. She gained a bachelor’s degree in business economics from King Saud University in 2011 and three years later completed a diploma in HR practice from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. In 2021, Alhabeeb earned an online certificate in business strategy for HR leaders from INSEAD Executive Education in France, and this year was named Inspirational Woman of the Year 2022 at the Arabian Business KSA Women Excellence Awards.
