In a horrific accident, a Saudi citizen had a tragic death after saving his wife and two kids in a train crash in Austria on Wednesday. The citizen’s 4-year-old son was also died in the accident when a train collided with his car that got stuck on the track while attempting to cross the rail crossing. The grisly incident occurred at Eiger Crossing in the city of St. Johann in Tyrol in the Austrian district of Kitzbühel. The train was heading from Kitzbühel to St. Johann. The tragic news was first revealed by Muhammad Al-Sharif, a Saudi relative of the deceased citizen. He said in a statement on his Twitter account: “God, one of my relatives and his son (four years old), passed away in an unfortunate accident in Austria, after a train collided with their car that got stuck on its way. The father succeeded in getting his wife and two children out, then returned, to get the child out, and upon his return to take out his 4-year-old child, who was on the baby-seat inside the vehicle, the train collided with the vehicle, which resulted in the death of the citizen and his child.” According to media reports, the 35-year-old citizen was on vacation with his family in Austria. The Austrian police announced the death of the citizen and the child who sustained critical injuries in the accident. The child died soon after taking them to hospital in St. Johann and the efforts of the medical team failed to save the life of the citizen who succumbed to his injuries later. His 34-year old wife and two other children, aged 7 and 11 years, escaped unhurt in the crash.
