The Saudi Embassy in Vienna stated that procedures are underway, in cooperation with the Austrian authorities, to repatriate the bodies of the Saudi citizen and his 4-year-old son, who were killed in a horrific train crash in Austria on Wednesday, to the Kingdom at the earliest possible. The embassy said that it had succeeded in ensuring the return of the survived family members to the Kingdom on board the Saudi Arabian Airlines flight that reached Riyadh from Vienna on Friday. Saudi Ambassador to Austria Prince Abdullah bin Khalid bin Sultan offered condolences to the family members of the deceased. He prayed God Almighty to bestow the victims His vast mercy and accommodate them in His Paradise, as well as to give courage and patience to the bereaved family members to bear with the tragic loss. The 35-year-old Saudi citizen had met with the tragic death while he was vacationing along with his family in Austria. The citizen and his son were killed after he saved his wife and two kids when a speeding train collided with his car that got stuck on the track while attempting to cross at a rail crossing in the city of St. Johann in the Tyrol region. The embassy said in a statement that it had received information about the accident involving a five-member Saudi family on Wednesday evening. The embassy immediately assigned a team to find out the circumstances that led to the accident with the Austrian authorities as well as to support the survived family members in their hour of distress.
