Leader of the "Sadrist movement," Muqtada Al-Sadr, declared on Monday that he is "quitting" involvement in politics. The declaration came amid a political crisis following the latest elections in which Al-Sadr won parliamentary majority but could not form a government as a result of obstacles placed by his rivals in the "coordination framework" bloc.
