Saudi Arabia"s Foreign Ministry on Friday welcomed the statement issued by the legitimate Yemeni government on the exceptional approval of allowing fuel ships to enter into Hodeidah port provided that legal measures will be completed in line with a UN mechanism. In a statement, the Ministry said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stressed keenness on backing a successful truce sponsored by the UN. The Kingdom expressed also its rejection to Houthis exploitation of keenness by international community and the coalition backing legitimacy on achieving peace, it added. Houthi militias reject to honor their commitments and they rather prevented oil ships to enter Hodeidah port effective since 2019 under the supervision of the UN, with the aim of resuming war and making a failed truce, according to the statement. Saudi Arabia commended the Yemeni decision regarding allowing ships to enter Hodeidah port until the end of the truce, taking into account humanitarian situations there and the UN efforts so as to reach a political solution to the crisis. — SG
