In addition, it is hoped the workshop will help build communication bridges between delegates and the Climate Change Center, while setting up an information exchange mechanism on climate change matters with Saudi universities. The center’s establishment was announced by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during the Middle East Green Initiative Summit held in Riyadh at the beginning of the year. It aims to gather and share research, study renewable energy resources to measure their impacts on carbon emissions in the future and help collect information to bolster the Kingdom’s contribution at national, regional, and global levels.
