British PM Truss thanks Crown Prince for key role in release of prisoners

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, received on Monday a phone call from British Prime Minister Liz Truss. During the call, Truss thanked the Crown Prince for his successful role in the process of prisoner exchange related to the Russia-Ukraine conflict and that resulted in the release of five British prisoners, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The two leaders reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to further develop them within the framework of the Saudi-British Strategic Partnership Council. During the phone conversation, the Crown Prince offered his condolences to the prime minister on the death of Queen Elizabeth II. He congratulated King Charles III on his accession to the throne of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Crown Prince also congratulated Truss on the occasion of her election as prime minister, wishing her success in discharging her duties. In the phone conversation, the Crown Prince looked forward to working together for the benefit of the two countries and their peoples.
