Monday’s event marked the 23rd Pride of Britain Awards after the ceremony was launched in 1999 in order to recognize the achievements of remarkable people from across the UK. Arriving at London’s Grosvenor House ahead of the event, Humes hit the red carpet in a sequined gown by Kadi, complete with a thigh-high slit and flowing train attached to a fitted bodice. Humes’ beauty look featured a swipe of graphic yellow eyeliner and glazed lips. The former singer opted for a tight bun and minimal jewelry to finish off the ensemble. Kadi is no stranger to celebrity endorsements and has previously dressed the likes of British singer Alesha Dixon, US singer Madison Beer and Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana. Earlier this year, US singer and dancer Ashley Roberts was also spotted in a Kadi creation at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards ceremony. The dress was part of Kadi’s Spring 2022 “Lucid Algorithms” collection that launched in 2022. This collection came in collaboration with the Lebanese designer’s first-ever non-fungible token collection of the same name. The collection was a human-computer collaboration, in which Kadi created elements that were fed into an algorithm. The result was an assortment of visuals, which were then used to design and create 40 dresses that make up the whole collection. Kadi was the first Arab designer to delve into the metaverse and the realm of NFTs. Born in the US and raised in Lebanon, he has dressed some of the industry’s biggest names, including Rita Ora, Jennifer Lopez, Jameela Jamil and more.
